We are very excited to be offering Contact Improv classes for an entire weekend! Pick the class(es) that best suits where you are at in your contact improv journey 

Saturday, January 20 

THE BASICS 

11-1pm: Beginner's class 

1-2pm: CI jam  

Sunday, January 21 

FLIGHT ACADEMY 

11-2pm: Intermediate/Advanced class 

2-3pm: CI jam  

$30 for 1 class 

$50 for both classes  

THE BASICS: 

A Beginner's Guide to Contact Improv 

Instructor: Abby Pistoni  

New to contact improv? Find it a little bit intimidating? You are not alone. 

Join us as we uncover the fundamentals of this unique practice. We will study of the mechanics of our bodies which will serve as a launching point to explore weight sharing, find comfort in being off balance, and move through the points of contact. We will also practice ways to exercise our ability to consent in non-verbal jam spaces. 

In the last hour, we will apply what we have learned in a classic CI jam setting. 

Bring bottled water. We recommend wearing long pants and a shirt/sweater with sleeves. 

Cancellation

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 2 hours of the event start time unless particularly related to Covid

To ensure the safety of all who take part we will be following precautions to safeguard against the spreading of Covid and any other similar infections. If you show symptoms of fever, high temperature, coughing, headache, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea then kindly please do not attend this event. If you have purchased a ticket please reach out to the host and we will kindly refund you your ticket price.
